Hey guys! (*Watch in HD*) I had a blast recording this video with my sister, Jennifer, and Taryn. We all attend Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville and have started our very own natural…

  1. Nice to see people embracing & rocking their Natural hair, cute! But I have
to add—> I was shocked when you said Relaxed hair can Never be healthy
again. That statement is 100% FALSE. OVER PROCESSING is what is Unhealthy!!
there are tons of people with Healthy Long Relaxed hair all over social
media as well as YouTube 🙂

“Relaxed hair like Bleached hair or Permed hair grows” My hair is BSL (Bra
Strap Length) & is still FLOURISHING.
Btw: No Hate; I Love the Versatility of both Natural & Relaxed hair ^__^
…PS: isn’t one of these young ladies in a Music group currently?

  2. This video is wrong. It may be true that relaxers break down the protein in
hair but that protein can be retained with care from DC treatments. A
relaxer is a chemical just like a a dye or a shampoo is. Relaxed hair can
be healthy and I’m tired of these videos targeting individuals who chose to
relax. HAIR IS HAIR!! AALIYAH THE SINGER OBTAIN ED RELAXERS WHAT WAS WRONG
WITH HER HAIR? NOTHING. AND WHY WOULD A SKULL WITH MOLDING MATTER WHEN YOUR
DEAD? A LOT OF THIS STUFF YOU ALL TALK ABOUT MAY BE TRUE BUT HOW DARE YOU
INSULT WOMEN WHO WORK HARD TO MAINTAIN THEIR HEALTHY RELAXED HAIR!!

  3. I stopped the video when the girl said relaxers get you fibroid tumors
(according to ONE recent study btw).
If you wanted to make your case for natural hair, you failed. Plenty of
women have beautiful and healthy relaxed hair. You don’t need to rely on
ONE scientific study out of nowhere to generalize and scare people off.
People like you are misinforming and/or perpetuating rumors. Taken
completely out of context, you can say whatever you want about scientific
studies and pretend it to be the truth.
I will get informed about the natural hair process ELSEWHERE.

  4. So even though I’ve grown out my perm for five years…my hair will never
    be healthy??? Confused.

  5. Thanks So Much! This Video Answered Almost All Of My Questions. I’m 16 &
I’ve Been Getting A Relaxer Since Age 6 Or 7 & My Hair Has Always Been On
My Shoulders & I Want It To Be Longer So I Was Thinking About Going Natural
But I Was Getting Second Thoughts Because My Mom Told Me How Difficult My
Hair Was As A Child & I Kind Of Been Transitioning Because I Have Braids In
& I’m Taking Them Out Soon So I Want To Know.. Would I Just Wash My Hair
    Like I Normally Do?

  6. Can somebody please explain the transition process. I never chopped my hair
when I went natural about four years ago and my entire head of hair is
natural and it’s been growing. Is it necessary for the big chop? I didn’t
relax my hair regularly before. I could go months without relaxing before
going natural. Could this be a factor?

  7. I don’t get why most people just flat iron? I’ve never had a perm and the
idea of it sounds painful and unhealthy. I’ve always just flat ironed it to
    make it straight.

  8. thanks, this helped so much! tried to go natural this summer and got about
2 and a half inches of new growth (from may-september) i suffered a LOT of
breakage and am guessing why is because of the two textures. im going to
try to go natural again since i got a perm and i did more research about
    it. (y’all included haha)

  9. I’m glad you enjoyed the video Jessica! It’s so much easier when you know
how to care for your hair. Thanks for watching, 🙂

  10. Me too. We were sharing facts about kinky/curly hair in general. Though
relaxed hair is permanently altered to lay flat, it is still of the same
texture. Technically, the easiest way to retain length is to never
chemically process (i.e. relaxers, texturizers, color, etc.) your hair.
Didn’t mean to offend. All hair is beautiful regardless of the texture,
    type, or curl pattern.

  11. Nope…I think the time is just right 🙂 But if you want, you could add
time markers in your description box so that viewers can “jump” to whatever
section they’re most interested in 🙂

  12. how do i get my mom to believe that water is good for mosturizing my hair?
My mom believes that i only should put water in my hair when I was my hair
once a week. I she thinks that i should add just oils, butter, and other
thing she puts in her hair when she gets a perm. Please Help

  13. It’s a personal preference. If you want to blow dry your hair, do it. Just
make sure to take the extra precautions that come with using heat.
